Our Team

Co-owners Tom Gies and Michelle Swier focus on building relationships with clients and pride themselves on the craftsmanship that MKE delivers. Their different strengths complement each other as they combine their professional and educational experiences to bring you a full-service renovation from concept and design through construction and finished product. Tom and Michelle maintain transparent and open communication with their team and their clients to make the process enjoyable, efficient and exciting for everyone involved.

Michelle Swier

Co-Owner | Principal Designer

Michelle has a strong passion for commercial remodeling and a crisp talent for residential design and architectural planning. With a comprehensive background in department store design, dental & medical office design and residential interior design, Michelle’s strengths include communication with clientele, organization, and cohesive design ideas and color palettes. She uses her education, energy, and attitude to motivate her team and clients for an exciting experience from start to finish.

Tom Gies

Co-Owner | Senior Project Manager

Tom approaches all of his clients and projects with an open mind and an eye for design. He excels at creating both functional and aesthetically pleasing concepts while keeping them to schedule and on budget. With years of design and construction experience, Tom has the tools necessary to tackle a multitude of residential or commercial remodeling and construction projects. He is a licensed contractor with the state of Wisconsin, a dedicated local volunteer, and a consistent leader amongst his peers and in the industry.
